Dr. Amron is the gold standard in the field of Lipedema. He takes time to learn about your story(because every lipedema patient has a journey), educates you about lipedema and how he has fought and continues to fight for awareness and proper treatment of this disease. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Amron and his team at the Roxbury Institute, they answered all my questions and were thorough in pre and post op treatment. I have lipedema. I’ve had three past liposuction procedures from three different doctors and none of them were aware of my condition. As a consequence my results were disappointing-although I believe they kept my disease from progressing. I spent s great deal of time researching options to treat lipedema as well as surgeons who treat. After a few consults with surgeons specializing in the treatment across the U.S. I decided on Dr. Amron. He conveyed a high degree of knowledge regarding treatment and has a great deal of experience treating the disease. I had two procedures spread over two weeks. The staff was excellent and well informed. I was comfortable throughout the procedure. It’s only been a few weeks postop so I can’t provide too much on the result-but I do already see a shape forming in my calf that has never been there that I’m very excited about.

A few years ago, I was referred to Doctor A by someone I trust very much. I found him to be a highly experienced and talented doctor whose skill was worth every penny. One thing that may bother some, but I found extremely ethical, is he will not always tell you what you want to hear. For instance, even if someone was wealthy beyond imagination, and they wanted their lips supersized, he’s not going to just agree with them, take their money, and make them look ridiculous. He is an artist. If you want the best, go to Doctor A. You will not be disappointed. PS His staff is wonderful!

I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Lipedema in June 2014. In the treatment plan Tumescent Liposuction was listed as the ‘cure’. After interviewing over 10 plastic surgeons not one was familiar with Lipedema, and one even recommended a thigh lift–a major surgery that could damage my already failing lymphatic system. Dr. David Amron was knowledgeable about Lipedema, and very sensitive to my embarrassment over my out of proportion legs that have been 1 to 2 pants sizes larger than my shirts ever since puberty. He even recognized that my arms were affected and the other surgeons didn’t even bother to look at my arms. I am now 4 weeks post-op and the results have been life changing! i can walk without getting shin splints–my gait is completely changed now that I don’t have to ‘walk around my thighs.’ He expertly sculpted my calves and ankles (Leonardo DaVinci never sculpted so good) and I was able to buy boots for the first time in my life! I dropped from a size 18 to a 14 pants in the first two weeks. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Amron more highly–I am a medical device salesperson and work with physicians on a daily basis–Dr. Amron is professional, sensitive, skilled and knowledgeable.

I was diagnosed with a pretty serious medical condition that was causing pain & discomfort in my legs, arms, lower back & feet. I am very impressed with Dr. Amron & his staff. I have had 2 surgeries with him & I never felt any pain or discomfort at all. He cares about his patients & I felt completely comfortable in his care. Dr. Amron is a wonderful and caring doctor. He is an artist when it comes to lipo. He is very knowledgeable on Lipedema. I had an excellent experience with him. He took a lot of time in my consultation to talk about the disease and the surgical options for it. The procedure itself wasn’t too painful and he kept asking how I was doing. I am doing GREAT! Before lipedema began to completely take over my life, I was a very active person. With the loss of mobility and constant pain of the past few years, caused by the lipedema, I could no longer be an active participant in life. I have Lipedema Stage 2 and Dr. David Amron has SAVED my mobility. I have suffered from Lipedema since I was age 12. I have Stage 2 Lipedema which is a difficult condition to treat and there are only a few surgeons who do. It took me a very long time to choose my surgeon.
